My wife and I are thinking of moving to Quebec from California for his work. We commit ourselves to learn French to speak but not until after his arrival.

Please tell me what is the community like that of Quebec. I understand that a little nit-hot and unfriendly, and sometimes new people, especially if you can speak French. My wife did have a number of jobs but to find work (I have Canadian citizenship ---- I am a lawyer in California, but I am open to different kinds of jobs and general information about the English-speaking ability to obtain a job).
